SOLSTISS, one of the largest French lace manufacturers, presented the Solstiss once again gathered the greatest names in international luxury design in order to explore new trends and propose an original perspective on this precious and mysterious material. The exhibition " Détournements de Dentelles" exhibition at Galeries Lafayette – 40, Boulevard Haussmann 75 009 Paris - from the 22nd of October to the 4th of November 2003.opens on a variety of styles allowing the general public to discover the full diversity of contemporary lace through the latest outstanding models from 2003/2004 Haute Couture and Ready-to-Wear fashion, as well as "customised" lace objects created by the prestigious houses in the fields of design, luxury jewellery, leather goods, fashion accessories, etc. which for the first time will interpret this material. "Détournements de Dentelles" also presents garments worn by famous personalities, works by famous photographers, exclusive interviews with couturiers, as well as a virtual lace gallery.
